To participate in WLHS sports, each athlete must go through the clearance process in every season, for every sport.  Fall, winter and spring sports clearance takes place approximately 2 weeks before practice begins.  A specific clearance date is assigned for this purpose.

On the day of clearance all athletes are expected to show up at the Athletic Office at their assigned time to get cleared.  If all forms are complete and fees are paid, it should only take 15 -30 minutes to go through the clearance process.

Upon completion of the clearance process every athlete will receive a clearance slip.  This slip is to be handed to the coach on the first day of practice.  No athlete is allowed to practice without evidence of a clearance slip.

If you are NOT able to attend the scheduled clearances, you can still get cleared, and must get cleared before attending your first practice.

Athletics office is open daily 7:30 - 4 pm.  Please note there is always the possibility the office is closed with out notice due to staff or district functions and / or meetings.

Any school fees or fines must be paid BEFORE clearances.

A $300 athletic fee is a yearly fee that covers all costs for athletics and activities during the school year.  This fee must be paid before an athlete can be cleared.  Fees can be paid online or in person to the bookkeeper.  Checks should be made payable to West Linn High School.

ALL STUDENTS who participate in athletics must be enrolled in and passing 5 classes - even as a senior.  For fall sports the previous semester grades are used. 
*Exception for incoming freshman, 1st semester.

Physicals must be completed PRIOR to clearances.

*  OSAA Transfer Certificate - If you are a transfer student (coming from a school other than West Linn High School) you MUST fill out this form and attach a copy of your transcript.
